A Keepsake Recipe Book is a Great Gift.

A keepsake scrapbook/recipe book is a great gift idea for a bridal shower, Mother's Day and even birthdays.

Contact mothers, grandmothers and other family members and ask them for "famous" family recipes and also ask for a funny story that goes along with the recipe, maybe from when they tried to make it the first time or what special occassions it was served at. You could include pictures of the 'grandmothers" from whom the recipes originated or pictures of functions the dish was served at or a picture of the dish. Or if they have the "original recipe" handwritten by the person that could be scanned in put in the book.  What a wonderful keepsake to have all these recipes in one place, but the stories and memories are what will make this a truly special gift.
